What does worship mean to me? Wow so many things I could say to express my love for the Lord. Worship to me is a sacrifice of love. There’s many ways that can describe worship or what it means, but I have my own.. Sacrifice is the most important aspect of our lives as Christians because we sacrifice our time for the Lord including church services, jobs, meetings, because it’s a time consuming. So, when I think of worship I think of communion with the Lord. One on one time getting to know and getting closer to the Lord and loving on him, worshipping him because of who He is. So in a time of communion, I’m sacrificing my time to be with the Lord. Im stopping what im doing and giving my full attention to the Lord because he deserves it all. Lets look at the book of Romans 12:1 about worship…

Romans 12:1 I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of [all] the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies [presenting all your members and faculties] as a living sacrifice, holy (devoted, consecrated) and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable (rational, intelligent) service and spiritual worship.

I like the Amplified bible, it just breaks it down! Okay so theres the word “sacrifice” in verse 1. What I do everyday, where I go, who I see, my entire life belongs to Him that’s worship. Life=Worship! We make a decision everyday what we can offer to the Lord, what can I do to please my God today. The Lord is not asking for much He just wants to commune with us and love and impart, He just wants our worship. Like a father wants to spend time with his son or daughter and love on them, God wants that from us. Like a man wants to spend time with his significant other, God wants that from us. He’s a jealous God and we must put ourselves aside and put Him first in everything we do. Lets talk about Love! One of the greatest gifts that man can have is love. I love to love! I’m a sucker for it J. The love I’m referring to is God’s love. Love between two people that’s awesome to and one day I’ll know what that means again, but right now the only love that’s rocking my world is God’s true and infinite love for me. Sacrifice of love goes so far and beyond its completely immeasurable. God demonstrated his love for us when he gave his only son to die for our sins John 3:16. So what can we do to repay God for this act of love? We are so unworthy to receive his love but the almighty God gives us chance after chance and still we screw up in areas but His Love! Take time out of your day and love on him. Sacrifice your time and self to him to give him what he’s worthy of. Sacrifice of Love is my worship and this is my heart because I love worship more than anything because I’m with him and giving what he deserves.

So in my closing, I want God to search the deepest parts of me and help me to become more like him each day. As I wake up every morning and acknowledge that He is God and Hes bigger than my situation and Hes there through it all whatever the case may be. Psalm 51:10 says "Create in me a clean heart and renew the right spirit within me"...I want nothing but to please him and make him a proud daddyGod each day and I will strive to do so. Worship is everything, its a lifestyle!

Day starts at 6am

So I told myself Thursday night that I would at least sleep in till like 9 right? Well, my mom works around 6am and so all of a sudden Im hearing my name being screamed in this echo like tone and I wake up and my mom is sitting in a chair looking directly at me and says, "You need to go get your dad his car broke down in Mobile!". I was like OMG I really have to drive an hour, half sleep, at 6am?? LOL so then my mom is like "well no, just get up and help find a towing service for him". Boy! Was I relieved lol. I mean I seriously wouldnt mind going to get my dad at all, its just that I was awakened at an odd time without being prepared and I know im not the only one that has those moments. After finding him a tow service I couldnt go back to sleep at all. My dad calls me like an hour later wanting me to come pick him up at the auto service place down the street from our place. Well, Im driving and I see this old lady that lives across the way and I stop the car to say hey (during this moment i forgot to put my shades on) and the first thing she says is, "did you get any sleep baby? Youre eyes look like you need sleep?" LOL and I gave her a short version of why I look like crap right now. Sigh you gotta love old people because they dont sugar code anything, theyll just come on out and say whatever is on their mind. Then after that it was a day of running errands in the crazy weather of Pensacola where one side was really rainy and the other side was cloudy with the sun beaming. Lets not forget its still humid when it rains especially when you dont have air in your car, but yeah thats another story! :-)

Sustain Me Lord

So I woke up this morning around 8 am and had this heaviness on my shoulders. I felt truly burdened and I didnt know why. The difficulty of issues and concerns are magnifying in different directions. I felt like I was on a never ending rollercoaster. So like every situation I got up and I began to talk to the Lord and pray that He just sustain me. I searched his word and in Psalms 55:22 says."Cast thy burden unto the Lord, and He shall sustain thee:He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved". Sigh so I took that in and I felt like just weeping. What does sustain mean? Sustain means to: support, hold, or bear up from below; bear the weight of. See God with his infinite knowledge of us knows how much we can bear but he tells us "Ill take it". He'll take anything that you want to give him that is making you feel weak and like you cant go on.He would love to hold you in his arms.There is absolutley nothing that he cant handle. So he's there to care for you and to release peace and comfort over you so that youll be strengthened. Why do we hold on to things we cant handle? Itll be less stresssful if we give it to the Lord. I pray that our hearts and minds be set unto the Lord never forgetting our first love. Never forgetting that he truly cares for us and loves us unconditionally.

Short and Sweet from James

Keep Your Joy!! Im taking a journey through James and I will probably be writing about it some more. Sunday as I was sitting in church while my pastor was bringing the word, he gave a scripture that was just what i needed at the moment. It was coming from KJV of James 1:2 "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations" and another version i like is the NIV which says.."Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds". Gosh, Im in love with God and when i was reminded of this scripture I fell more in love with him. I was reminded that I am a child of God and through these hard times whether its personal or family, I have the ability to change my heart and mindset, with the guidance and wisdom of God, on how to deal with these situations. The enemy would love to steal our joy. Jesus warns us then he promises us in John 10:10 which says.."The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly"(KJV). So when trials come the first thing we should do is be joyful? Crazy right? But we go through it for a reason because God wants us to gain some wisdom from it and learn what he is teaching us during that time. Yes, I have my moments when I want to cry or feel like i want to give up at times, but thank God that he hears our prayers and he lifts up in good spirits and remind us to trust in him. God says right there in John 10:10 that he comes to give us life fully. Its like taking a breather right? The enemies first thing to do is to destroy us but God's first thing to do is do fight for us and be there and to protect. God lacks nothing because he is just God the all powerful one. I hope I said some things that encouraged you and I pray that God will bless you mightly through anything.
